We are looking for a full-time Customer Service Team Leader to oversee our evening staff, including training of staff and ensuring adequate coverage, provide enthusiastic, courteous, timely service to all members, prospective members, and visitors.
At Choice Fitness and Choice Fitness Elite, we cater to those who expect more than a gym, those who appreciate the attention and thoughtfulness we put into providing an environment that will motivate and inspire. We offer the most Choices in the fitness industry at our 10 North of Boston locations.
Our Peabody location has a variety of spaces for recreational and sports programs including a 60-yard turf field, a basketball court also lined with 3 Pickleball courts, an indoor swimming pool, a climbing wall, 2 racquetball courts, and a party/event room.
Responsibilities
Achieve customer satisfaction standards by maximizing members’ experience.
Meet and greet all members, non-members, and prospects.
Check in all people entering the club, following the company’s policies and procedures.
Assist members by direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff.
Operate multi-line phone system. Answer and transfer incoming phone calls with courtesy, keeping a phone log as required.
Assist members with all juice bar and pro-shop purchases.
Prepare Smoothies at the Juice Bar
Operate cash register, keeping a balanced drawer during scheduled shift.
Stock juice bar and pro-shop items
Schedule tanning appointments
Conduct regular locker room checks.
Maintain clean and neat appearance of front desk and juice bar area.
Assist in training front desk staff on policies and procedures.
Assist GM and AGM
Other duties as assigned.

• Open the club on time and correctly.

• The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of gym operations to ensure an exceptional member experience as well as a financially successful club.
• Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to General Manager as needed.

Choice Fitness is looking for Group Fitness instructors to join our growing team. Instructors are responsible for providing group fitness instruction while monitoring and educating members on fitness and safety in an enjoyable atmosphere. Class types include Strength training, Barre, Aqua, HIIT, Kickbox, Core, Les Mills Body Pump, Spin, and Yoga.
Qualifications:
• Current Group Fitness certification / multiple specialized certifications a plus.
• CPR/AED certification
• Ability to motivate members
• Build class participation
• Spin / Cycling instructors must have a Mad Dog Spin certification
• Yoga instructors must be at least 200 hours

We're looking for a full time, team-oriented, highly motivated individual for our Fitness Manager position.
As a Fitness Manager with Choice Fitness, you are a leader to your personal training staff. Your success is highly dependent upon the performance of your trainers and the achievement of the club. Since you are responsible for generating new personal training sales, you must be committed to the business and take great pride in helping our members achieve results.
Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Performance & Sales:
• Accountable for the daily, monthly and yearly financial performance of the club’s fitness services while driving sales and managing payroll.
• Oversees the Personal Training department to ensure that expectations are met.
• Partners closely with the General Manager and Membership department ensuring that initial Fitness Assessments are being booked and value is being built on tour.
Team & People Management:
• Provides coaching, mentorship, feedback, recognition and support to Personal Trainers to facilitate their success and skills development. Responsible for Succession Planning to facilitate retention and growth of key and top talent in the club.
• Provides input and participates in performance assessment and termination processes for Personal Trainers, in partnership with the President of Operations.
• Establishes and develops a collaborative and results-focused Personal Training team. Leads weekly Personal Training meetings ensuring effective communication, planning, coordination and alignment. Leads ongoing team building and leadership development activities. Promotes members and team success stories.
Recruitment & Training:
• Ensures that the Personal Training team is well staffed to hit the daily, monthly & yearly forecast.
• Works in collaboration with the President of Operations to interview and hire the most qualified candidates.
• Develops a high performing team through coaching, teaching and training.
• Guarantees that all new employees are on-boarded properly and given the essential training tools to exceed expectations.
• Provides on-going training to the personal training staff.
Communication:
• Takes the time to coach, teach and develop each personal trainer.
• Conducts weekly staff meetings to reinforce team building, education and communicate the team’s Expectations.
• Conducts performance reviews of the personal trainers with the help of the President of Operations.
• Responds quickly to member concerns or requests.
Key Qualifications:
• A related University degree (in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology) or equivalent experience strongly preferred
• 2+ years related sales experience,
• 2+ years’ experience in the fitness industry.
• 2+ years of leadership and people management experience including proven success in leading, coaching and motivating teams and individuals to achieve goals and objectives across multiple locations. Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence all levels of the organization.
• 1+ years of personal training experience is required.
• Successful completion of one of the following: NASM, NSCA, ACE, ACSM Personal Training Certification is required. Successful completion of additional health and nutrition certification programs an asset.
• Current CPR & First Aid are required and must be maintained through employment.
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of service focused on hospitality, caring, welcoming and fun.
• A passion for fitness. Demonstrated knowledge of fitness equipment and wellness strategies.
• Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Experience:
• A passion for working with children in an active setting

Job Duties:
• Set up the party room prior to guests arriving and assisting party parents with decorating
• Greet all guests as they arrive, making sure waivers are signed, and entertaining guests as they wait for others to arrive
• Run scheduled activities based on party type (ex. sports, games, swim), and engage all kids while making the birthday child feel like the star
• Lead all guests back to the party room and assist parents with serving food/cake
• After party, help the parents clean up all of their stuff as well as sweep the party room and take out trash
